About the Porsche 911 Turbo 964
The 964-generation 911 Turbo arrived in 1990, initially carrying over the 3.3-litre engine from the preceding 930 but with significant revisions to reduce turbo lag and increase power. It featured the 964's coil-spring suspension and improved aerodynamics, replacing the torsion bars of earlier models for more predictable handling. While it lacked the all-wheel-drive system of the standard Carrera 4, it offered a purer, more challenging driving experience that remains highly prized by collectors. Its wide-body stance and iconic 'tea tray' rear spoiler make it one of the most visually striking Porsches of the 1990s.
