About the Porsche 918 Spyder

Unveiled in production form in 2013, the 918 Spyder united a mid-mounted 4.6-litre V8 with two electric motors in a plug-in hybrid roadster. It formed part of the early hybrid-hypercar trio alongside the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari. Electric torque helps launch the car with startling force, while its removable roof panels and V8 give it a distinctive open-air character. Porsche built exactly 918 examples before production ended in 2015.
