About the Porsche Carrera GT

The Carrera GT reached production in 2003 after Porsche developed its concept into a road-going flagship. A naturally aspirated V10 originally rooted in a shelved racing programme sits within a carbon-fibre monocoque and engine carrier. Its manual gearbox and compact ceramic clutch make it unusually demanding among modern supercars. Porsche completed 1,270 examples by May 2006, with removable roof panels allowing an open-cockpit driving experience.
