About the Porsche 911 Turbo 930

Porsche introduced the enlarged, intercooled 3.3-litre 911 Turbo for the 1978 model year. This entry represents a 1985 European-market coupé with the 300 PS engine and original four-speed manual gearbox, not the lower-output North American specification. Rear-biased weight distribution and pronounced turbo lag make its strong straight-line performance demand care from the driver. A total of 15,836 standard 3.3-litre Turbo coupés were built across the full 1978–89 run, including later five-speed cars.
