About the Porsche 959

The 959 emerged from Porsche’s Group B programme, with customer deliveries beginning in 1987. Its sequentially turbocharged flat-six, electronically controlled all-wheel drive and adjustable suspension made it an unusually versatile supercar. The Komfort version retained a usable cabin rather than the stripped-out approach of the rarer Sport. Porsche quotes 292 series-production road cars across the original range; larger published totals include additional prototypes and later builds.
