About the Nissan Gloria 230

The 230-generation Gloria marked a pivotal moment in Japanese automotive history as the first to be fully integrated with the Nissan Cedric platform following the Prince-Nissan merger. While mechanically identical to the Cedric, the Gloria was positioned as a more upscale offering sold through the exclusive Nissan Prince Shop network. It featured the era's popular 'coke bottle' styling and was the first Japanese car to offer a pillarless four-door hardtop body style. The 2.6-litre L26 engine was the range-topping choice, providing smooth six-cylinder performance that cemented the Gloria's reputation as a premier executive express.
