About the Nissan Gloria ALSI

Introduced in 1959 by the Prince Motor Company, the Gloria (ALSI/BLSI) was a more prestigious and luxurious development of the original Skyline. It gained immediate fame when the first production unit was presented to Crown Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. The car featured heavy American styling influences, including 'Dagmar' bumpers and a plush interior with a standard radio and clock. While mechanically similar to the Skyline, its 1.9-litre GB30 engine provided the extra torque required for its role as a flagship executive sedan.
