About the Honda City GM6

The sixth-generation Honda City (GM6) arrived in 2014, significantly raising the bar for subcompact sedans in emerging markets. Built on the same platform as the third-generation Jazz/Fit, it utilised Honda's 'Man Maximum, Machine Minimum' philosophy to offer rear legroom that rivalled many larger C-segment cars. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine remains a highlight, providing a rev-happy character and legendary reliability. While primarily designed for urban efficiency, its light kerb weight and well-sorted chassis make it surprisingly agile for a budget-focused commuter.
