About the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
The Lancer Evolution X marked a radical departure for the series, replacing the venerable 4G63 engine with the all-aluminium 4B11T and introducing the sophisticated S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) system. While the GSR trim retained a traditional 5-speed manual, the chassis was significantly stiffer and heavier than its predecessors, aiming for a more refined, European-style performance. It remains a highly capable driver's car, offering immense grip and torque-vectoring agility that few contemporary rivals could match. As the final generation of the Evo lineage, it represents the peak of Mitsubishi's electronic drivetrain engineering.
