About the Hillman Minx New Minx

The 'New Minx' arrived in 1967 as the final generation of one of Britain's longest-running nameplates. Effectively a de-contented version of the Hillman Hunter, it utilized the Rootes 'Arrow' platform to provide a more modern, albeit utilitarian, family motoring experience. While it lacked the American-inspired flair of the preceding Audax series, it offered improved handling and a more robust 1.5-litre engine. Today, it is a rare sight on UK roads, often overshadowed by its Hunter sibling but valued by Rootes Group enthusiasts for its simplicity and historical significance.
