About the Plymouth Fury
For 1975, Plymouth shifted the legendary Fury nameplate from its full-size C-body platform to the mid-size B-body, effectively replacing the Satellite. This eighth-generation model was a response to the 1973 oil crisis, offering a slightly more manageable footprint while retaining classic American V8 power. The 318 cubic-inch (5.2L) V8 served as the workhorse of the range, prized for its reliability rather than outright performance. Today, these cars are remembered as quintessential 1970s cruisers, often seen in period police and taxi liveries, and represent an accessible entry point into Mopar ownership.
