About the Honda Pilot YG1
The fourth-generation Honda Pilot, internal code YG1, debuted for the 2023 model year with a significant shift toward a more boxy, truck-like aesthetic compared to its predecessor. It introduced an all-new 3.5-litre DOHC V6 engine, moving away from the long-running SOHC VTEC design to improve emissions and refinement. The cabin was redesigned to be more functional, featuring a stowable middle seat in the second row and increased legroom across all three rows. Built on a stiffer platform shared with the Acura MDX, it offers a more composed ride and improved towing capabilities of up to 5,000 lbs.
