About the Honda Inspire
The fifth-generation Honda Inspire (CP3) was the final iteration of the nameplate in Japan, serving as a more luxurious, V6-only counterpart to the global Accord. Based on the larger North American eighth-generation Accord chassis, it was distinguished by its 3.5-litre i-VTEC engine equipped with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), which could deactivate cylinders to improve fuel efficiency. The Inspire was positioned as a premium executive sedan, competing with the Toyota Crown and Nissan Fuga, and featured high-end tech like the Internavi system and Collision Mitigation Braking. While it shares its silhouette with the US Accord, the Inspire's unique front and rear styling and higher equipment levels make it a distinct choice for JDM enthusiasts seeking a comfortable, powerful cruiser.
