About the Nissan Cima F50

The F50-generation Nissan Cima arrived in 2001 as a technological tour de force, famously introducing the world's first production laser adaptive cruise control. It is most instantly recognisable by its distinctive 'Gatling Gun' multi-lens HID headlights, a design feature that became a hallmark of the VIP tuning scene. Under the bonnet, the 4.5-litre VK45DD V8 was the first direct-injection V8 in the Japanese market, officially limited to 280 PS to comply with the era's 'gentleman's agreement'. While its Infiniti Q45 export sibling struggled in the US, the Cima remains a cult favourite for its smooth power delivery and imposing presence.
