About the Cadillac DTS

The Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) debuted for the 2006 model year as a major facelift and rebranding of the eighth-generation DeVille. It remained a bastion of traditional American luxury, featuring a transverse Northstar V8 and front-wheel drive on the GM G-platform. While it lacked the sporting intentions of the rear-drive STS, it offered a serene ride quality enhanced by available Magnetic Ride Control and a spacious interior that could still be configured with a front bench seat. As the last Cadillac to follow this specific full-size format, it represents the end of an era for the brand's classic 'land yacht' lineage.
