About the Honda Civic Type R FL5
The FL5 arrived for the 2023 model year as the latest Civic Type R, built around the eleventh-generation Civic. Its turbocharged four-cylinder, limited-slip differential and close-ratio manual gearbox put precision ahead of straight-line theatre. The wider body, functional aerodynamics and revised dual-axis front suspension make it unusually composed for a powerful front-drive hatchback. A final Ultimate Edition marked the end of European sales, though the Type R remained available in other markets.
