About the Honda Civic Type R FK8
The FK8-generation Civic Type R marked a significant milestone as the first Type R model officially sold in North America. Built in Swindon, UK, it features a sophisticated dual-axis strut front suspension designed to virtually eliminate torque steer, paired with adaptive dampers and a functional aero package. Its K20C1 engine provides linear power delivery, while the chassis offers a level of composure and track capability that famously secured a front-wheel-drive lap record at the Nürburgring. Despite its aggressive styling, it remains a highly practical five-door hatchback with a class-leading boot and comfortable daily driving manners.
