About the Dodge Viper SR II
The GTS arrived in 1996 as the first closed-roof Viper, instantly becoming a 90s poster icon with its 'double-bubble' roof and blue-with-white-stripes launch livery. While the original RT/10 was a raw, windowless roadster, the SR II GTS introduced creature comforts like airbags, power windows, and air conditioning without diluting the car's brutal character. Its 8.0-litre V10 was lightened and strengthened over the first-generation engine, producing a massive 450 hp. With no traction control or ABS, it remains a demanding driver's car that rewards respect and skill.
