About the Chevrolet Biscayne
The 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne was introduced as the successor to the 210, serving as the mid-range model between the basic Delray and the premium Bel Air. It featured the one-year-only styling of the 1958 model year, characterized by a longer, lower, and wider chassis with quad headlights and a massive front grille. While the 3.9-litre 'Blue Flame' inline-six was the base engine, it provided reliable, if modest, performance for a car of its significant mass. Today, the 1958 models are highly prized by collectors for their unique, ornate styling that was replaced by the 'batwing' look just one year later.
