About the Chevrolet Biscayne
The 1965 Biscayne marked the debut of the fourth-generation full-size Chevrolet, featuring a new perimeter frame and sharp, clean styling that replaced the previous X-frame design. As the entry-level model below the Bel Air and Impala, it was popular with fleet buyers and budget-conscious families who valued its massive interior space and simplified trim. The 4.1-litre (250 cu in) Turbo-Thrift straight-six was a new addition for 1965, offering a reliable and economical alternative to the heavy big-block V8s. While often overlooked for the flashier Impala, the Biscayne's lighter weight and 'sleeper' potential have made it a cult favourite among collectors and drag racers.
