About the BMW M5 E60

The E60 M5 is defined by its S85 V10 engine, a high-revving masterpiece developed during BMW's involvement in Formula One. It was the first production saloon to feature a V10 petrol engine, delivering a visceral soundtrack and a relentless 8,250 rpm redline. While its Chris Bangle-designed exterior was controversial at launch, it has aged into a modern classic respected for its uncompromising performance. The 7-speed SMG III transmission offers lightning-fast shifts at speed, though it requires a learning curve in daily traffic.
