About the BMW 5 Series G60
The G60-generation BMW 5 Series represents a significant shift for the executive stalwart, growing in size to accommodate internal combustion, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains on a single platform. The 520i serves as the entry point to the range, utilising a B48 2.0-litre engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system integrated into the eight-speed Steptronic transmission. Inside, the cabin is dominated by the BMW Curved Display and the 'Interaction Bar' first seen in the 7 Series, reflecting a move toward a more minimalist, screen-heavy interface. While larger and heavier than its predecessor, it maintains the model's reputation for balanced handling and class-leading refinement.
