About the BMW 5 Series E60
The E60 generation of the BMW 5 Series, designed under the direction of Chris Bangle, remains one of the most distinctive executive cars of the 2000s. The 520d SE was a mainstay of the UK fleet market, offering a balance of efficiency and the brand's signature rear-wheel-drive handling. This 2007 model year features the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) facelift, which introduced the more powerful N47 diesel engine and improved interior materials. While its 'Flame Surfacing' design was initially divisive, the E60 is now appreciated for its advanced aluminium front structure and sharp steering response.
