About the Kia K4

The Kia K4 was a compact sedan developed by the Dongfeng Yueda Kia joint venture specifically for China, bridging the gap between the K3 and K5. Built on the same platform as the Hyundai Mistra, it prioritised rear-seat legroom with a 2,770mm wheelbase, catering to local preferences for chauffeur-like comfort in a smaller footprint. The 1.6 Turbo variant served as the performance flagship, introducing a dual-clutch transmission to the range for a more sophisticated driving experience. While it offered a premium look and feel, it remained a regional exclusive until it was replaced by the global K4 nameplate in 2024.
