About the Volkswagen Polo 6R
The 6R-generation Volkswagen Polo, introduced in 2009 and facelifted in 2014, represented a significant step forward in refinement for the supermini class. This 2014 facelift model (often referred to as the 6C) introduced the Euro 6-compliant 1.2-litre TSI engine, replacing the older naturally aspirated units with improved efficiency and mid-range torque. The SE trim was the volume seller in the UK, offering a balanced specification including a 6.5-inch touchscreen and improved interior materials. While it lacks the driver engagement of a Ford Fiesta, the Polo 6R is highly regarded for its 'mini-Golf' feel, exceptional build quality, and composed motorway manners.
