About the Volkswagen Polo 6N
The 6N-generation Volkswagen Polo, launched in 1994, represented a significant leap in refinement and safety for the model line. Sharing its platform with the SEAT Ibiza, it was the first Polo to be offered as a five-door hatchback, broadening its appeal significantly. The 1.4 CL was a popular mid-range choice, offering a balance of modest insurance costs and sufficient performance for urban environments. While not a performance car, its solid interior plastics and composed ride quality set a new benchmark for small cars in the late 1990s.
