About the Toyota Crown S130

The S130 generation Toyota Crown arrived at the height of Japan's bubble economy, serving as a rolling laboratory for Toyota's most advanced luxury features. The 3.0 Royal Saloon G was the range-topping trim until the V8 arrived in 1989, famously introducing the world's first CD-ROM-based navigation system with a colour CRT display. It featured a full-frame chassis and electronically controlled air suspension, providing a ride quality so refined it directly informed the development of the Lexus LS400. Today, it is a highly sought-after JDM classic, prized for its 'over-engineered' build quality and smooth 7M-GE straight-six engine.
