About the Toyota Avalon XX10
Introduced in late 1994 for the 1995 model year, the XX10 Avalon was Toyota's first purpose-built flagship for the North American market, replacing the rear-drive Cressida. It was developed on a stretched version of the XV10 Camry platform, offering class-leading interior volume that rivalled domestic full-size sedans. Known for its exceptionally smooth ride and high build quality, it was one of the few Japanese cars to offer a front bench seat and column shifter, allowing for six-passenger seating. While not a performance car, its 1MZ-FE V6 provided refined power that cemented the Avalon's reputation for effortless, long-distance cruising.
