About the Talbot Solara
The Talbot Solara was launched in 1980 as a four-door saloon version of the Chrysler/Simca 1510 hatchback. Developed by Chrysler Europe before its sale to PSA Peugeot Citroën, it was one of the last models to carry the resurrected Talbot badge. The 1.6 GLS was a high-specification trim, featuring a five-speed gearbox and electronic ignition, which were advanced for its class at the time. Today, it is a rare survivor of the 'lost' Talbot brand, valued by enthusiasts for its comfortable ride and period-correct French-influenced design.
