About the Skoda Octavia vRS Mk3
The 2017 facelift of the third-generation Octavia vRS introduced a controversial split-headlight design but compensated with a power bump for the standard petrol model to 230 PS. Sharing its MQB platform and EA888 engine with the Volkswagen Golf GTI, it offers a more understated and significantly more spacious alternative to its German cousin. The hatchback provides a class-leading 590-litre boot, making it one of the most versatile performance cars on the market. While it lacks the mechanical limited-slip differential found in the later vRS 245, it remains a highly capable and refined all-rounder for the enthusiast family driver.
