About the Skoda Superb
The Škoda Superb Type 640 was introduced in 1934 as the brand's new flagship, replacing the 860 and bringing advanced engineering to the luxury segment. It featured a backbone chassis with independent suspension all round, a sophisticated design that provided superior ride comfort for the era. The 2.5-litre straight-six engine was noted for its smoothness, catering to high-ranking officials and wealthy industrialists. While production was interrupted and later pivoted to military versions during WWII, the Superb remains the pinnacle of Škoda’s pre-war craftsmanship.
