About the Skoda 1101/1102
The Škoda 1101, popularly known as the 'Tudor' due to its two-door body style, was the first new post-war model from the Mladá Boleslav factory. It evolved from the pre-war Popular 1101, featuring a backbone chassis with all-round independent suspension and a modernised OHV engine. While the 1101 was the two-door variant, the 1102 introduced in 1948 added a four-door saloon and updated interior details. These cars were highly successful exports, reaching over 70 countries and proving the durability of the Škoda platform in demanding conditions.
