About the Peugeot 206
Launched in 1998 to replace the legendary 205, the Peugeot 206 adopted a curvaceous 'New Edge' design that proved immensely popular across Europe. The 1.4 LX was a mid-range staple, offering a balance of affordability and equipment including air conditioning and electric front windows. While it lacked the outright pace of the GTI variants, it retained the brand's reputation for supple ride quality and light, agile handling. Its longevity is evidenced by the fact that production continued in various forms globally long after the 207 was introduced.
