About the Peugeot Type 10
The Peugeot Type 10 was a pioneering effort in automotive design, notable for being one of the earliest vehicles to feature a closed-top body, resembling a small estate or 'Break'. Produced in extremely limited numbers, it utilised a rear-mounted V-twin engine manufactured by Panhard & Levassor under Daimler licence. Its design remained heavily influenced by horse-drawn carriages, featuring a high seating position and a tiller for steering. As a significant artifact from the dawn of motoring, it represents Peugeot's transition from a bicycle and tool manufacturer to a leading automotive force.
