About the Audi A2
The Audi A2 was a radical departure from conventional supermini design, featuring an all-aluminium Audi Space Frame (ASF) that made it exceptionally light and rust-proof. Its tall, aerodynamic profile achieved a drag coefficient of just 0.28, while the interior offered surprising roominess and a unique 'Space Floor Concept' for rear passengers. The 1.4 TDI three-cylinder engine provided punchy low-end torque and remarkable real-world fuel economy, often exceeding 60 mpg. Though a commercial failure due to high production costs and a premium price tag, it has since gained a cult following as a masterpiece of functional engineering.
