About the Opel Commodore C
The Opel Commodore C was the final generation of the nameplate in Europe, serving as a more prestigious, six-cylinder alternative to the Rekord E. It shared its basic body shell with the Rekord but featured the longer front end and more sophisticated styling of the flagship Senator. The 2.5 E trim utilised Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection, providing a significant performance boost over the carburetted 2.5 S. While it struggled to find a distinct market niche between its siblings, the Commodore C gained legendary status as the basis for the first Australian Holden Commodore (VB).
