About the Mazda 3 BL
The second-generation Mazda 3, known internally as the BL, evolved the brand's 'Nagare' design language with its distinctive smiling front grille. The 1.6 TS served as a core mid-range trim in the UK, offering a balance of equipment and economy. While not as fast as the MPS performance variant, it retained the multi-link rear suspension that made the 3 one of the best-handling cars in its class. It is noted for its mechanical robustness and precise gear shift, though cabin materials were often considered a step behind contemporary German rivals.
