About the Maserati GranSport
The Maserati GranSport arrived in 2004 as the performance-oriented flagship of the M138 range, featuring a more aggressive aerodynamic package and a revised version of the Ferrari-derived F136 V8. It was distinguished by its 10mm lower ride height, 19-inch 'Trofeo' wheels, and a faster-shifting Cambiocorsa automated manual gearbox. Inside, the cabin blended traditional leather with technical 'Brightex' fabric and carbon fibre trim, reflecting its sportier intent. While it retained the grand touring comfort of the standard Coupé, the GranSport offered significantly sharper handling and a more vocal exhaust note, making it a more engaging driver's car.
