About the Audi RS 4 B7
The B7-generation RS 4 marked a significant departure for Audi Sport, swapping the previous twin-turbo V6 for a high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8. It was the first RS model to be offered in three body styles, though the Avant remains the definitive choice for its blend of Q-car subtlety and immense practicality. Featuring a rear-biased Quattro system and a mandatory six-speed manual gearbox, it is widely regarded as one of the most driver-focused cars Audi has ever produced. Its engine, which later powered the R8 supercar, is celebrated for its linear power delivery and 8,250 rpm redline.
