About the Ford Falcon XB

The XB Falcon GT represents the final chapter of the original Ford Australia GT lineage. While the previous XA model introduced the curvaceous 'Coke bottle' styling, the XB refined it with a more aggressive split grille and NACA-style bonnet scoops reminiscent of the US Mustang. It was the first Australian GT to feature four-wheel disc brakes as standard, improving its credentials as a high-speed grand tourer. The model achieved global cult status after a modified 1973 GT Hardtop was cast as the 'Pursuit Special' in the original Mad Max film.
