About the Ford E-Series
The 1992 Ford E-Series marked the first major redesign of Ford's heavy-duty van in 17 years, introducing a more aerodynamic 'aero-nose' profile that significantly improved fuel efficiency and wind noise. As the E-350, it served as the heavy-duty workhorse of the range, frequently utilised for ambulances, shuttle buses, and towing applications due to its robust body-on-frame construction. The interior was updated to be more car-like, sharing components with the F-Series pickups to improve ergonomics for long-haul drivers. This generation was so successful that it remained in production with only minor cosmetic and powertrain updates for over two decades.
