About the Chevrolet Astro
The 1995 Chevrolet Astro marked a significant facelift for the second generation, introducing a new interior and a smoothed-out front end that shared styling cues with the full-size Express. Unlike its front-wheel-drive competitors from Chrysler, the Astro utilised a body-on-frame construction derived from GM's light trucks, giving it superior towing and hauling capabilities. The 4.3-litre Vortec V6 provided robust performance, making it a favourite for small businesses and large families alike. Today, it has gained a cult following in the 'vanlife' community due to its durability and mechanical simplicity.
