About the Chrysler Neon
The second-generation Neon arrived for the 2000 model year, addressing the refinement issues of its predecessor with over 1,000 improvements. It traded the original's frameless windows for full-framed doors to reduce wind noise and featured a more substantial, mature interior. While it lost the first generation's coupe body style and DOHC engine option in standard trims, it remained a competitive, budget-friendly alternative to Japanese rivals. In the UK, it was marketed under the Chrysler brand, offering a high level of standard equipment for its class.
