About the Toyota Premio T240

Launched in December 2001, the Toyota Premio (T240) was the upscale successor to the long-running Corona line. Positioned as a more elegant alternative to its sportier twin, the Allion, the Premio was designed specifically for the Japanese domestic market with a focus on refinement and interior space. Despite its compact exterior dimensions, it featured a class-leading 2,700 mm wheelbase and unique reclining/split-folding rear seats that provided utility similar to a hatchback. The 1.8-litre variant, powered by the reliable 1ZZ-FE engine, remains a popular choice in secondary export markets for its balance of efficiency and comfort.
