About the Buick LeSabre
The 1977 Buick LeSabre marked a pivotal moment in American automotive history as General Motors launched its massive downsizing programme. Despite being nearly 15 inches shorter and significantly lighter than its predecessor, the fifth-generation LeSabre offered improved interior space and better fuel economy. The 5.7-litre (350 cubic inch) V8 provided smooth, effortless torque typical of the era's luxury cruisers. It is remembered for its 'waterfall' grille and for proving that a smaller footprint didn't have to mean a loss of prestige or comfort.
