About the Peugeot 604

Launched at the 1975 Geneva Motor Show, the 604 was Peugeot's first executive flagship in four decades, featuring a crisp Pininfarina design. It was powered by the PRV V6 engine, a joint venture between Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo, which provided smooth if not blistering performance. Renowned for its exceptional ride quality and spacious, plush interior, it was a frequent choice for French government officials. Despite its refinement, it struggled to compete with German rivals like the Mercedes-Benz W123 and was eventually succeeded by the 605.
