About the BMW M8 Competition F92
The F92 M8 Competition arrived in 2019 as the flagship of the revived 8 Series range, succeeding the M6 with a focus on extreme performance and luxury. It shares its S63 twin-turbo V8 with the F90 M5, but features a stiffer chassis, bespoke engine mounts, and a sophisticated M xDrive system capable of switching to pure rear-wheel drive. Despite its significant kerb weight, the M8 Competition delivers relentless pace, aided by a lightning-fast ZF-sourced automatic gearbox and massive torque. While production of the Coupé ended in early 2025, it remains one of the fastest internal combustion cars BMW has ever produced.
