About the BMW M3 E92
The E92 M3 marked a radical departure for BMW's performance icon, replacing the traditional straight-six with a high-revving 4.0-litre S65 V8 derived from the S85 V10. As the first and only production M3 to feature eight cylinders, it offers a unique motorsport-inspired soundtrack and a linear power delivery that rewards aggressive driving. The E92 Coupé features a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic roof to lower the centre of gravity, a technology carried over from the E46 CSL. It is increasingly sought after by collectors as the final naturally aspirated M3, representing the end of an era before the transition to turbocharging.
