About the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport C6
Introduced for the 2010 model year, the C6 Grand Sport replaced the Z51 performance package, effectively bridging the gap between the base Corvette and the track-focused Z06. It features the Z06's wider bodywork, revised suspension tuning, and larger brakes, but retains the 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine. Manual transmission models are particularly sought after by collectors as they received a dry-sump oiling system and a hand-built engine from the GM Performance Build Center. It is widely considered the most balanced and usable variant of the sixth-generation Corvette.

Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport C6 fun facts
- Manual-equipped Grand Sport Coupés featured a hand-assembled LS3 V8, a distinction usually reserved for the Z06 and ZR1 engines.
- The Grand Sport nameplate was a tribute to Zora Arkus-Duntov's 1963 secret racing project, of which only five original cars were built.
- Despite the wider Z06 bodywork, the Grand Sport retained a removable roof panel (targa top), which was not available on the fixed-roof Z06.
