About the Toyota HiAce H300

The H300 generation of the Toyota HiAce, introduced in 2019, marked the most significant architectural shift in the model's history by moving from a cab-over to a semi-bonneted layout. This change was primarily driven by stricter global safety standards, allowing for a dedicated crumple zone and improved occupant protection. Powered by the 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine shared with the Hilux and Land Cruiser Prado, it offers a substantial increase in torque and refinement over its predecessor. While it remains a utilitarian tool of trade, the H300 features a more car-like driving position and the inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense technology, solidifying its dominance in the global light commercial vehicle market.
